How true are projected images? The best of times and the worst of times

Putin

Some public images are a myth, some are a mystery. Some images are totally false and fed to the public. This is very much the case with some Royals or politicians.
To many public figures, image is important.
Some hardships are well hidden from the public; sometimes, the image cracks.
I met Kate, who married Prince William, before she was famous, and she was so natural, polite and pleasant, whereas a couple of Royals were really difficult or arrogant.
We were obviously lied to by Prince Andrew and a lot was covered up.

Apparently, at Trump's latest conference, the Irish President, Catherine Connelly, told Trump the Iran war was illegal. He replied, ‘HE’ should appreciate him and what he was doing for world peace! Source BBC News.
There is, of course, character assassination, where politics, etc., are concerned.

I’ve been watching videos about Elizabeth I. Each story differs. Some say she was a man, that she was not a Tudor, as Ann Boleyn had an affair, and King Henry was not her father! Other videos say she was a man or that she killed herself with mercury poison and the sticky white makeup on her face. Who really knows?

Anyway, the recent times are not the best of times, because of conflicts and wars. The 60s and 70s were!
We are heading into difficult global situations.

In teaching and hosting exhibitions, one has to present well in front of many people. Do we become the image we present? Did you have an image to present in your work?
We had a dress code. And I always felt sorry for the ridiculous hair nets on people serving at food counters.

Putin also had an image of being tough, doing judo and riding with a bare chest on horseback to show great strength, quite different from today's image, where he is portrayed as weak to the West.

Did you have to present an image at work? Was that the real you?
Do you think some people look ridiculous at work? I’m glad I never wore a uniform.
My director never sent me home.
What were the best or worst of times in your life? Were you happy at work? I found a lot of freedom teaching, choosing materials and subjects, entertaining my classes, they were fun.
I loved wearing jeans at college, but denim was banned in our teaching dress code. I was, however, a rebel over the dress code. Some teachers were sent home. I would not have returned, I’m sure they knew that.
Post music anecdotes, chat, memes, gifs.
Most of all, enjoy!
