Richard Causton was a great inspiration to my life and happiness, not a singer, but we all egged him on to sing in our musical….called Alice. It’s the words that are so important!

If you change, your life changes. If you are difficult the people around you are.

Richard fought in WW2 as Major General in Korea. He said one day he did nothing but step over the dead bodies of young men, what a waste of life. He could no longer continue in the army, and then sold sports equipment for Harrods in Japan. He had trained in Sandhurst army academy.
His family motto was Noblesse Oblige.

In a restaurant in Tokyo, the owner put a book in his hands. The first sentence was…

He was smitten and hooked on the Japanese lady. They could not communicate easily due to a language difference, but they fell in love, married and returned to England.

He was my inspiration, he sang this song when we staged a show to raise monies for two charities, Human Ecology Council and Unicef children's fund. Nancy Wood was the star of the show, a resounding success. I worked for Human Ecology council and had initiated the introduction.

I met Boy George in the VIP lounge. To my surprise, I loved the guy, and became a fan. Previously, I had not had a very positive opinion, but he invited me to join him and Mark Belgrano, the Punk Rocker on London post cards. He was charming and intelligent.

In a video I just watched, he said he no longer feared old age but looked forward to it.

We are not always responsible for what happens to us, but we must always work for positive change.
I too have reached a point where some news encompasses dear friends and posted about Daphne Caruana Galitzia, (who was murdered), and Romena, the homeless lady, who always remains positive with her little white dog. Romena was fined €8,000 and imprisoned for being homeless. She is unbroken and positive and still with her little white dog. I had a coffee with her recently. Everyone said hello to her. She became a bit of a celebrity in some quarters.
