Having seen the list of top restaurants, I just decided there is a lot more living to do!
When I visited Shinjuku in Japan, cat coffee bars didn’t exist, but both cat and dog restaurants/cat coffee bars look like fun.
I’m sure my doggo would have loved a restaurant, catering especially for him instead of being banished under a table.
He would have behaved beautifully but would not have worn a tux. He refused dog coats.

When I visit my Tuesday friend, her lovely Persian gray cat with amber eyes makes a bee line for me and the tuna in my bag…complete adoration and no place for her owner.
Petting animals and their company is very often therapeutic for humans.

As for an underwater restaurant, or one on a small island would suit me fine with a swim in a clear blue sea after dinner. Sea life swimming around always fascinates.

McDonald’s is absolutely not my thing. Ugh, disgusting.
When I lived in Shinjuku, Tokyo, we received a menu everyday and ordered delicious food. Many houses in Tokyo don’t have proper kitchens. I had packets of lemon meringue pie from UK I made in the tiniest oven I had ever seen for the Japanese family. Sweets and cakes were rarely on the menu, and their cakes tasted of air, not like our lovely puds and sweets.
One of the best places I ate in was on a beach in Italy. The food was divine and cheap, the sun, the blue sea, white sand and sky and romance was in Spinarollo, Italy. The music, the Godfather. Also nightclubs by the sea in Istanbul, can’t beat the food and views.

Lately, restaurants here are now expensive, touristy and not so good. The town I live in has refugees from Afghanistan, Korean immigrants, you name a far-flung place, and we probably have a new restaurant. Our town is becoming known for unusual ethnic food. So far, I continue cooking my own food. But I really should check them out and try.
