As a child, I played being a princess.
We believed the royals led a fairy tale life. There has always been a fascination for royals, their palaces and lifestyles, and travels.
Royals, film stars, and showbiz people do have a certain glamour.

I never really knew how beautiful Princess Margaret was. The world was at her feet.
Yet, she turned down love for position and wealth. She died alone and so did Diana.
Diana married her Prince—even a step mother on this tale, Camilla.

Grace Kelly’s first words about her future husband were that he was a rude little man.

Royal weddings and those of film stars have fairy tale weddings, yet reality is a different story.

Fergie married her Prince. Her story is still unfolding.

Then there was Wallace.

And Harry and Meghan.

High Flying

I used to love flying to many countries, usually warm countries and travelling, especially to Turkey and Australia. Turkey has always been a pull, I loved the people and the culture, and the fascination of Istanbul, its markets, architecture and the Bosphorus.

Australia had a fantastic beach culture and wonderful libraries. I used to walk along the beaches picking up and diving for shells. I arrived in Albany, WA, with a terrible cough, so I went to the library, recovered, and borrowed a book on how to make necklaces from beach combing. My shell necklaces paid for a three-month holiday, and the necklaces funded me in finding and starting a teaching job, when I returned home to my small island.

I couldn’t settle in Japan, although I did my best to learn Japanese, left Japan as quickly as possible, for Australia with a paid ticket to work in Sydney and a paid ticket back to UK where I lived at the time. That was my first visit to Aus, a wonderful job with accommodation and travel at weekends, loved the place.

These days its nothing but hustle in airports and immigration. Times have changed, it’s no longer easy or always safe to fly to foreign countries, IMO.

My bucket list is/was to fly in a balloon over Cappadoccia.

I did fly off a 30 ft ladder one day and got up and made a coffee, hurt my little finger, otherwise, unscathed.

Night and Day, Day and Night

The two-in-one concept runs throughout our lives, and the universe…the weather.

So post memes, gifs, experiences, music with the following concepts of opposites, or personal examples, and chat with friends.

You cannot have day without night. The day has the sun and the night has the moon, and so you have light and darkness. Moonlight and sunlight.

Philosophy divides our experiences and emotions into ten ‘worlds’, states, from a hell state to the highest state…enlightenment. We can all reach enlightenment, but we cannot be God.
But man makes many gods; money could be one, greed another. Each ‘world’ has negative and positive, and is divided into 1000 realms, negative and positive. There are ten worlds, and many realms in each.

1. is a hell state….time goes slowly, and there is suffering or pain. Could be the dentist?

2, 3, and 4 are the three poisons:

2. Anger. You may wish to protect your child, but you may not be able to without anger or skills.

3. Greed.  

4. Ignorance

These are the three negatives all humans possess. We go in and out of all emotions. The universe does too.

Anger can be…power, not seeing another person’s point of view, temper.

Greed can be wanting more and more, or more positively, it will make us improve our circumstances, or strive for something. It’s classified as hunger, but you would not enjoy your dinner, if not hungry.

Ignorance is not only not having knowledge, but could be cutting down trees, polluting the environment.

5. Rapture…a false happiness, the sun is shining, you are in love, you receive a bill you can’t pay: From rapture you fall to hell.

6. Then the next state is tranquillity, but it’s non-productive. e.g., sitting on a beach, we all love to enjoy doing nothing sometimes.

7. Learning…that’s hard work…

8 Absorption…knowledge at your fingertips.

Helping others, for whatever reason, is a high state. Some jobs like nursing, or carrying someone’s shopping, or today I showed a tourist around my friend’s house free of charge as a guide. Made someone’s day.

With all the good qualities, you are partially enlightened, or ultimately an enlightened being?

The highest state.

Drive…If You Can!

This year (where I live), it has been the worst year ever for driving accidents.

Our government… news to me…has offered €25,000 to anyone who will give up driving for five years. (Wish I had a car). A great incentive. Many are killed on motorbikes here. There is an incentive to get people to switch to motorbikes and for teens to ride scooters. I see many tandem teens whiz by.

There are many problems on roads, congestion, road rage, pot holes, building works and cranes.etc., and bad spelling on road signs.

Why are cars classified as female? She may be a beauty…Lovely bodywork?

When I was a teen many people loved their old rust buckets, many were dangerous to drive. Buying wasnt easy. Now cars don’t appear to have any character….all except Morgan’s, all parts hand made, cars are mass produced. There are still a few great designs.

Speed is also a problem, tho on motorways in Turkey camels overtook us easily, that surprised me. I was somewhat shocked at camels on motorways/freeways. LOL

Do you consider yourself a careful driver? Are you courteous  on the roads?
I loved to block people who were not, and one of my driving instructors could bump such drivers wheels, and get out of skids at high speeds. We had six instructors on the course.

Music seems to equate music with our lives, with freedom, with having no inhibitions, and a loss of control of good behavior. I never identified that way with driving, on my motorbike, and occasionally I was stopped by police for driving too carefully…by the book,my answer was… because I value my life. I also obtained a proficiency driving badge, after a six week driving course getting top marks. Two of us passed out of thirty people, all the rest were guys. They had ridiculed me on the course throughout about my driving. I was determined to just pass, nothing more. I practiced slalems and obstacle courses every night, until mastering. I was shocked to get top marks, my biggest fear was answering in how to repair an engine. But that was no problem, I got a question about spark plugs.

Road rage is on the increase.

Also, I witnessed cars catching alight, new electric cars. I saw a car on fire only yesterday, the driver was unharmed, but his car was a shell; there were police, an ambulance and fire engines, and a huge traffic jam. First, I saw the smoke billowing, then witnessed a terrible scene.
