Love songs for robots, and our approaching new world

Love songs for robots

Is the new vision of a virtual world, something to be enthusiastic about?
Was your life better before computers?
I look back on living in the countryside and walking my collie, life seemed more enjoyable, had few possessions, lived on a barge and a farm.
I loved tv in those days, now I don't have one.I used to love comedy, like Benny Hill, Fawlty Towers etc., and plays. Loved westerns and thrillers, not sure I enjoy many of todays sci-fi movies.

I cant imagine walking round wearing goggles in a virtual world. The world we have can be better, and it's reality, not always perfect.
I looked forward to normality after lockdowns and covid, but that never really happened.
I like the world we have/had - when times are good nothing better.
A day on the beach, on a boat, with friends. Dinner parties, parties, chatting with friends,
When tv first came out people sat in a dark room watching it, eating sandwiches with friends.
I like games too…Backgammon,Scruples,
Monopoly.
Used to play Dungeons on my first computer, so games might be good.
Perhaps we should improve real communications with other people on a day to day basis, rather than spending so much time on a parallel universe?
Reading for pleasure appears to almost be a lost skill by many.
I overheard two teens discuss reading.
1/ I read a lot…I felt pleased.
2/ So do I
(great),
1/ I spend a lot of time on A M A Z O N.
(Help!).

Should we so readily be channeled into a metaverse

So, let's discuss our favorite movies, books and writers, past times, chat, post memes, gifs,
and music. Many here love music, gardening, the beach, and constructive and enjoyable communication.

In The Pink
Don rose-colored specs today…we are in the pink…
In recent years pink became a popular color, so anything pink goes today, diamonds, and blonds: post…. memes, gifs, videos, songs with the word pink, blond or diamonds, images, idioms.etc.
have fun.
Are diamonds really a girl's best friend? A dog is a man's best friend. I think I prefer dogs to diamonds.

So let's be in the pink.
Press YouTube to play.
How did pink become so popular? Was it Marilyn, Barbie? The old adage was pink for a girl, but it seems to be for everyone and anything these days, and even hair.

Is blond an advantage or disadvantage? Are blonds dizzy?
I believe blonds are underestimated?
Lots of hair colors are attractive…Blond Red, Brunette, Pink, pale blue, green.
Perhaps the most famous blond was Marilyn. She was well loved.

Hello darkness my old friend
Our world is one of duality
We cannot have light without dark, day without night, summer without winter, sunrise without sunset.
There were wonderful quotes about darkness and also light, and songs too.

If you are as bright as the sun there will be no darkness in this world.
Even a stone at the bottom of a murky pond can produce fire.

I will admit that on many occasions, I have been afraid of the dark. I also remember my dog barking manically at something I could not see. Was he dreaming?
I welcome the mornings, the light and the sun, and the sun on my skin, tho in Australia, with the night skies, it was never truly dark, yet once on the moors, It was so dark I could not see my feet. And the sun in Australia could burn in ten minutes.
I love to watch the changing skies, sunrises and sunsets, starry skies and the light of the moon.
Around my house, I have chandeliers, and beautiful lamps, mirrors that reflect light on cosy evenings, candles too.

Remember, no political or religious comments, post memes, gifs, quotations, music on opposites, light and dark.
Most of all enjoy!

Jeans jeans jeans And furever friends. Childhood memories.
When I first wore jeans, my stepfather was horrified! I used to clean the decks in those, he said.
In the sixties, denim symbolized rebelliousness. MLK made jeans popular. In the 1800s and 1930s, jeans were for workers. Marlon Brando always wore jeans on screen and off.

In the 80s and 90s jeans became tighter and tighter, now baggy jeans are the norm again.
Stone-washed jeans were outed for darker denim.

Denim almost became a uniform over three decades….now baggy jeans are back!
Great for casual wear. Did you follow the denim trends? Do you still wear it? My wardrobe is full of recycled denim, jeans, skirts, dresses, coats, and recycled jackets with the sleeves cut off, and embroidered.

I always have had a fondness for trams. I remember them as a child and the lovely colored tickets for different fares, they still have them in many countries.
I remember my Friday treat if I was good, a strawberry ice cream in a cafe listening to violins playing, (even if I was naughty) the pink ice arrived, and my trip to an aquarium to watch the fish was a weekly treat.
Then a procession of Furever friends. A poodle named Pooh and a cat called Horace.
And a whippet a good racer.
Now furever friends are named after cars!

Furecedes, Pursche, and Cattilac and not Pooh like my poodle, but Mini pooper. LOL
Had two slowcoach Tortoises Maurice and Doris, a rabbit and two blue budgies, luv animals to this day.
So how time flies, I was born in the last century, and how things have changed.
My Great Grandmother had long plaits coiled like earphones, and her hair was jet black. She lived till 98.
Fluffy earphones on buses remind me of her.
Can't believe its 23 years since we had the milestone of the year 2000. And the futuristic 2001 came and went.
So post memes, gifs, trailers, pets you've had/have, music music music, memories memories memories.
Themes memories, denim, and pets, their antics and names.
Enjoy
