We live on the blue planet…
Or is it a rainbow planet?
As a mosaic artist I spend a lot of time looking at walls, feeling one cat short of crazy.
Many of the mosaics are ‘ repair’ jobs …the walls are/were old and crumbling.Many of my walls are subtle colors,my court yard mirrors Moroccan court yards, Blue and White.The garden wall was full of holes repaired by mosaics,tiles,mexican carvings,a pie dish,the star…cost 50 cents,and dry wall.the green wall changed to white this week…less decorative!
My thoughts turned to colored lakes,and rivers:Colored spices in Istanbul in the Spice market.
There ae many beautiful colors on our planet,and many rainbow colored lakes, and rivers…
TheYellow River,(which has turned red, due to pollution,The White Nile and the Blue Nile.
How are these beautiful colors formed?mainly bacteria or minerals,the same with shells,when collecting shells there were some beautiful colors too.Shells always grow in a soiral always in the same direction.
How were lakes formed? Mainly by huge holes in our planet,due to meteorites, or mining or when the planet was formed.
Do you live near a lake or the ocean,or a sea,or perhaps a river?
So our subject is about the colors on our planet,lakes,caves,holes on our earth,caves,towns built around mining areas,or even perhaps for wealth, how we devastated or earth,for coal,minerals, or diamonds.
Do you live near any colored lakes?rivers?I love the skies and rainbows,and woukd love to visit many of these lakes or rivers.

Long train journey can be fraught or tiring! I once traveled the Orient Express route.
The train arrived four days late in Istanbul.My friend camped in the station waiting.
Istanbul has trams and ferries..I love both:Water taxis in Venice and traveling the canals.
Venice is for romance.
I love trams.I love small yachts,not large super yachts,houseboats,narrow boats,and vintage cars.
Modern planes get you from A to B,long flights and airports are tedious.I would love o fly in a small old open plane.
Travel can be exciting,the destination can make the journey worth while.
I loved the old flying machines.
Give me a Morgan any day.I gave up motorbikes,but theres nothing like the freedom of an empty road!

Illusion
Life is full of illusions.
Looking back at the past photos do you look the same as when you were a child?
Do you have the same goals or dreams? The same experiences?
Were you sure of what your career/ profession/ job would be?
Did you day dream?
At one time people beieved the earth was flat,some still do.
There are many questions concerning self or freedom….is freedom an illusion too?
Many authors have attempted to examine or answer the above questions.

Strangely enough politicians repeat the same illusions,a White Rabbit constantly appears on the balcony,people were inundated with images of unicorns,first find a virgin by a pool to see a real unicorn,
As a child I hated the book Alice in Wonderland,yet magical movies,amazing theatre productions evolved

I love mirrors in my house,and garden,not only do they reflect light,are attractive they create a before and after reflection.Useful for or presentation in or everyday world.
Imagery is all around us and illusion,even our brain plays tricks on us.

The most expensive shoes in the world cost 17 million.or even more.Would you spend that on a pair of shoes?
Would you go for comfort,looks,high heels,boots,trainers? or something out of the ordinary?
There are some really bizarre shoes to choose from.
High heels are impossible to walk in,yet they become higher and higher.Men used o wear high heels,and the first Russian Ballerinos or Ballerinas.
Its hell on heels.Would you buy high heels.
Would you buy Boots?Would they be fashion boots, or waterproof?
The Duke of Wellington invented rubber boots.They were designed for the muddy battlefield of Waterloo,so the English called them Wellingtons.
I occasionally splash out on expensive shoes that are stylish and fashionable,but comfortable,
but nothing outrageous.I do have a pair of Wellies for the rain!And I do love boots made of leather,
