Maybe places you have visited.

I wonder,in the present climate,if we can travel freely to see dear friends, or places again.

Will we only have memories left to travel?Maybe these places will have changed dramatically,or even people.

I once visted the Blue Mosque,the interior was an open space.I revisited again,people were channeled,segregated,and herded into different areas,with barriers,and partitions between ‘believers and non-believers.Had to wear special covering robes,handed out.

The Roman baths in Bath were several small pool areas,and on one of my first visits midsummernight,I bought a ticket to swim in the Roman baths.Two years later I took my grandmother,it had changed dramatically.a larger space with hotspring streams,and foot bridges.Being a romantic I was stunned at the changes,it looked beautiful but quite different,my mind wandered back to Jane Austin's visit.How was it in those days,in comparison,we have Jane Austins memories in her writings.no more swimming in the Roman Baths allowed!!!

Some of the pictures below are my favourite travel memories;Waterfall beach,WA.,Istanbul.See how many you know?Hydrapassa Istanbul,and Isandras tower in Uskudar.Isandra was the Sultan's daughter.A fortuneteller predicted Isandra woul be bitten by an asp and die.The Sultan built the tower in the Bosphorous for his daughter to save her from her fate.Her lover a prince,swam to her every night with fruit and flowers,in the fruit was an asp whch bit her and she died.

Love em or hate em,I luve em.

Dogs are A man’s best friend

Diamonds are a woman’s best friend 

I prefer dogs to diamonds,which I find too glitzy,always had dogs,but the best was a border collie.

Loved learning,carrying shopping,and very well trained,never had a leash,always two inches from my heel,and waited outside shops,he would never have moved.He also loved childrens icecream,his one weakness,stealing icecreams.

He considered himself human.

Best qualities in dogs,they are loyal,intelligent,can be great companions.

Small dogs dont really seem like dogs to me.

I’m amazed watching guide dogs stopping at crossings amd leading their owner safely across,also how enthusiastic sheep dogs are at herding and protecting.Police dogs and rescue dogs perform a service,and dogs in the army or airforce fearlessly parachute from planes.Some dogs are heros.

However,I noticed after lockdown some dogas are being carried everywhere.

If I were to choose a stone my favorite is emeralds,rubies or opals.

So many hand gestures but they don't mean the same all over the world!

Take the A ok gesture,in our part of the world it means good or ok.In Japan it means

ZERO, parts of the east it equals the middle finger gesture.In South America A hole.

So be careful what you do with your hands when traveling.✌️This is the V victory sign.

Whereas in reverse this equals the middle finger in Britain.This originated in 1066 when the 

French invaded.The archers shot the French by pulling their bows with their first two finges.

When the French caught the archers they cut those two fingers off.So the archers waved two fingers at the French…we still have our two fingers so……🖕

👉A gun,or pointing,again don’t do this in the east it is a sign that they want an enemy to die.

🤘your wife/ husband is sleeping with someone else,in India two hands in that position will protect you!

🤝friendship.Shaking hands,I have no weapons.

Dancers were skillful…Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire.Nureyev and Margot Fontaine/ Miss Piggy.

Skaters entertained..Torvill and Dean

Singers…Simon and Garfunkle were in our heads,

Freddie Mercury often sung duets with Michael Jackson,with Monserrat Caball.

Kenny Everett often paired with unlikely guests,Rd Stuart for one.

Most fairy tale weddings did not tuen out to be Charles and Diana,Harry and Meghan
